What I've learnt

I wonder if nowadays young artists like JJ are optimistic or pessimistic about succeeding in the art world. JJ: “On one hand it’s a lot easier to show your work to large audiences thanks to social media. On the other hand it sometimes feels like there are so many other talented artists out there that it’s becoming harder to get noticed. However I do feel like it’s a little easier today than before. And maybe more importantly it depends on what you define as successful.”

Overall Interviewing JJ was an eye opening experience, I got different perspectives on the art world and what it’s like to be working millennial in the art world. I look up to him a lot because his lifestyle is something I aspire to have. He is constantly learning and surrounded by inspiring people. This makes me believe I might have a future in the art world but it takes time and effort to get there.
